Questions & Answers

Everything you might be wondering, gathered in one place.

The Celebration

Saturday, May 1, 2027 at the Wadsworth Mansion at Long Hill Estate, 421 Wadsworth Street, Middletown, Connecticut. The ceremony begins at 4:30 in the afternoon — please plan to arrive by 4:00.
Ceremony on the lawn at 4:30, followed by cocktails on the terrace, dinner, and dancing in the ballroom. The celebration runs until 11:00 pm, with shuttles returning to the hotels afterward.
The ceremony will take place outdoors, followed by cocktail hour on the terrace. The reception will be held indoors in the ballroom, with dancing continuing on the terrace. We recommend appropriate footwear for walking on grass and bringing a light layer for the evening if desired. Heat lamps will be available on the terrace for guest comfort.
In spirit, always — and on the cocktail napkins. Our French bulldog will be celebrating from the comfort of home, but you'll spot him throughout the day.

Travel & Stay

We've gathered recommended hotels and room blocks on the Travel & Stay page, ranging from a historic inn in town to easy options off Route 9.
Yes. Convenient on-site parking is available for guests. If you plan to enjoy alcoholic beverages during the celebration, we encourage the use of rideshare services to ensure a safe trip home.
A complimentary shuttle will run between the recommended hotels and the Mansion, with return trips at the end of the night. Times are on the Travel & Stay page.
Bradley International (BDL) in Hartford is about 35 minutes away. Boston and the New York City airports are each roughly two hours for wider connections.
Yes. A room block has been reserved at the Inn at Middletown. Guests can find full details within the Accommodations section of the website. Our after party will also be held at the Inn at Middletown, making it especially convenient for guests staying there.

Attire

Our wedding dress code is Garden Formal. We welcome romantic and elegant garden-inspired attire. Guests are encouraged to wear floor-length gowns, elegant midi dresses, cocktail dresses, dressy separates, dark suits, or tuxedos. Black, neutrals, florals, and classic formal colors are all welcome. Guests should feel polished, elevated, and celebration-ready. Full guidance and a mood board live on the Dress Code page.
The ceremony and cocktails are on the lawn, so block heels, wedges, or chic flats will serve you far better than stilettos. Comfort earns you more time on the dance floor.
Early May in Connecticut is lovely but can cool after sunset — expect daytime highs in the 60s°F. A wrap or light layer for the evening is a wise idea.
